Transport. Perth is easy to get around with an efficient fully integrated public transport system that is free in the city centre. For more info on service see www.transperth.wa.gov.au
Electricity. The electrical supply in Australia is 240/250 volts AC 50 Hz. The Australian three-pin power outlet is unique, so overseas visitors may need an adaptor socket, which, although, is not always simple to find outside Australia, can be purcased in many shops in Perth. European, North American and UK ones will be provided for oral presentations only.
Perth's climate. Perth enjoys a Mediterranean climate with warm to hot summer and cool, wet winter. Spring (September- November) temperatures average 20 - 26 °C during the day and 10 - 14 °C at night. Rain is rare but still possible. Perth is Australia's sunniest capital, so do not forget to take along your sunscreen, sunglasses and hat. |
